Prof. Dr. Fehmi Yıldız was born in 1954 in Ertuğrul village of Lüleburgaz, completed his primary education in this village, completed his secondary education in Lüleburgaz Kepirtepe Teacher Training School in 1971 and worked as a teacher and administrator for a while. Between 1978 and 1982, he completed his undergraduate education at Uludağ University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Business Administration. Later, he completed his master's (1986) and doctorate education (1989) in the field of accounting at the same university. Prof. Dr. Fehmi Yıldız continued his teaching career, which he started at Trakya University in 1989, for approximately twenty-five years. He started teaching at Trakya University Edirne Vocational High School and continued at Keşan Vocational High School (1990). In 1993, he started to work in the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Business Administration, Accounting - Finance Department, where he would continue his academic life for a long time. He held the presidency of this department for years. Having works on various subjects of accounting science, Prof. Dr. Fehmi YILDIZ took place within the squad started in the Balkans and Middle Eastern countries Accounting and Accounting History Conference was organized to promote the world to the accounting culture of geography in which Turkey is located. He was also one of the senior executives of the conference in Edirne where the first of these conferences was organized. He presented very valuable papers introducing Turkish accounting culture by acting as a manager in the subsequent Accounting History Congresses. Prof. Dr. Fehmi YILDIZ passed away on June 1, 2014 in Trakya University Faculty of Medicine Hospital where he was treated. |
